Welcome to Walnut Ridge Kennels!
We are Huron County's leading All Breed Dog Boarding Facility, located at 1838 Thompson Rd., Bad Axe, Michigan. I am Missy Rooney, the owner/operator of the Kennel. Sharing their love of dogs and growing up working in my parent's Boarding Kennel, it was inevitable that I would someday have my own. In May of 1999 my kennel was built on the property where my husband Pat, daughter Kelsey, and I live. We started with 10 runs and 1 year later added 20 more. We now have the capacity to house 50 dogs. For the comfort of the dogs, the kennel is climate controlled. Soft music is played throughout the kennel, having a calming effect on the guests. We have 2 large, fenced exercise areas where the dogs are allowed to exercise and play several times a day. We have spacious 4' x 8' chain link runs on the inside for the large dogs and smaller 3' x 6' runs for the small dogs. The care and comfort of your dog during it's stay with us is our main priority. Although it's not home, Walnut Ridge Kennels is the next best thing to it for your dog!
